About Advocacy Now

Advocacy Now was formerly known as Advocacy for Older People in Greenwich.  We have been active in Greenwich since 1996 but in 2018 we took the opportunity to extend our mission and to rename the organisation.  We now work with all adults from 18 upwards who feel that they need support to make their voice heard in decisions affecting their lives.

What is Advocacy?

Advocacy is taking action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need. Advocates and advocacy schemes work in partnership with the people they support and take their side. Advocacy promotes social inclusion, equality and social justice.

What can we support you with?

Our staff and volunteers can support you with a range of issues such as the care and support you receive, choosing appropriate housing or problems with money and bills. Your advocate will listen to your concerns and explain all of your options. Your advocate will not tell you what to do but will support the choices you make.

How to contact Advocacy Now.

You can call us at any time but you may need to leave a message on our answering machine. You can email us or use the contact page on this website. Either way, we will contact you within 2 working days.
